Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community. By contributing your time and talent with Teen Arts NJ, you play a vital role helping us to meet our mission in providing innovative arts programming to young aspiring artists across the state, while supporting professional artists through various opportunities, and providing arts educators invaluable resources for their classrooms.
- Volunteers must be 18 or older.
- Volunteers must be able to pass a criminal background check at no cost to them.
- Volunteers should be comfortable working with the public.

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
Event Volunteers assist us with our large scale events throughout the year. During these events, volunteers may be asked to assist with setting up various spaces for events, greeting and checking in guests, giving directions, and answering general questions about our organization and the event.
Exhibition Volunteers have experience in wiring and hanging artwork. They work safely with equipment. This volunteer opportunity requires the ability to lift up to 25lbs. and feel comfortable on a ladder.
Education Volunteers assist in workshops and classrooms with students, distributing materials, providing activity support, and assisting in clean up.
Administrative Volunteers have the opportunity to assist us in the office to support us in daily office operations. Volunteers must be comfortable answering phones and working with Microsoft Outlook.
Community Outreach Volunteers help us reach out to the community to spread the word about the programming and opportunities TANJ provides through.
