TIFFANY THREADGOULD
Tiffany Threadgould is the SVP of Industrial Design at TerraCycle, a company whose mission is to reimagine waste. Tiffany received her Master's in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute where she developed her thesis Trash Nouveau - Reincarnating Garbage Into Usable Objects. Her work has appeared on CNN, NBC news, HGTV, The New York Times, Washington Post and many more media outlets. She has written and contributed to many books on reuse and upcycling including her own titled ReMake It! (Sterling Publishing).
TIFFANY'S ARTIST STATEMENT
My work exists at the intersection of industrial design and sustainability. By combining traditional craft with salvaged materials, I transform waste into new, valuable products. My pieces—ranging from dresses made of food packaging to furniture crafted from a retired airplane—serve as a testament to the process of upcycling.
Whether I am working on interior design solutions for an office or DIY education, my objective is to provoke an "aha moment" regarding the value of waste. I strive to disrupt the lifecycle of garbage, proving that with creativity and craftsmanship, we can make an object even more valuable in its second life than it was in its first.
