Jewelry Design and Fabrication
Niels Pustrom has been a rockhound since high school and learned to cut and polish stones from lapidaries in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. His love of rocks, gems, fossils, and minerals, and their beauty led him to discover the jewelry classes at Brookdale Community College seventeen years ago.
He is a veteran of the Arts & Craft Show circuit in NJ and NY. Niels has exhibited his work in Boston, Mass and currently teaches at Brookdale Community College. His work at Brookdale has expanded to the Lifelong Learning side of the College.
Most recently he conducted jewelry making workshops at the Monmouth County Teen Arts Festival, and at the NJ State Teen Arts Festival, sharing what he has learned as a working jeweler for many years.
